One important thing (at least for many of us) is what we listen to while we are running. Music helps us to focus on the running and take our minds to other places. I have even seen myself changing the pace with the music beat. I have crazy experience on running with music, but right now, I will share what I listen the most when I go on running. This playlist was created by Tero Tikkanen for me, thinking on Stockholm Half Marathon. That was September' 09 so I should be getting a new playlist soon. In my opinion music can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Sometimes you need to keep focus on your pace.

La música me gusta para entrenar cuando voy solo, aunque no siempre, porque el rato de entrenamiento es una oportunidad para pensar con tranquilidad, estar a solas con uno mismo no suelo tener la oportunidad de hacerlo muy a menudo. Para competir la verdad es que solo la llevé en mi primera carrera, un diezmil, y nunca más la he llevado, hay un montón de sonidos en las competiciones, los aplausos de la gente, los comentarios con otros corredores, el ruido de las pisadas, también los estertores cuando voy hecho pure, y para el Maratón ni de coña. También es verdad que hay mucha gente con ella, cada corredor es un mundo.

I've tried a couple of times a "plug-running" but I found so many disturbance that made me lose concentration on running.

When I run alone most of the time I need music, specifically, vocal trance.
I never listen to music during the races because I like to listen to the sounds around me.
